RMS Managing Director

1980 was my first introduction into the Refractory Industry, working for Norman J Hurll as a TA. Through amalgamation the company title then became AndrecoHurll. 

My keen interest progressed me to installer, bricklayer, leading-hand, supervisor and project management.

Future opportunity came with Phoenix Refractories Australia as Installations Manager and then Western Region Manager. 

After moving on from Phoenix I was employed by Cape as the Refractory Manager which was a national position.

With a solid commitment to the refractory industry I established RMS in joint- partnership with my long time & trusted colleague. 

I am passionate about giving my best and getting the best result for every aspect of every job. I am committed to assisting all involved in the industry to be their best, and in doing so to help improve the industry in general. 

Hard work, commitment, honesty trustworthiness, integrity, combined with the want to listen and deliver a professional service has been the backbone of myself and my loyal team for 39 years.

RMS Director

I have had over 23 years experience in the refractory industry, which started during my bricklaying apprenticeship in 1996. 

I have worked on construction and shutdown type work with various companies, throughout my refractory career. Although I hold a trade as a bricklayer I have performed most roles in the industry at some level. I have supervised various size teams for over ten years with some project management roles on a few small projects. 

I have worked in many industry types during this time, this is inclusive of various types of kilns, furnaces, calciners, incinerators, stoves, hot blast mains, boilers, cyclones, ladles, pre-cast shapes ducts and pipework.

I'm very committed and passionate about my job and I enjoy the work. 

Having established RMS with Peter I endeavour to continue my career, with the aim to support and where possible improve the industry which i'm still proud to be part of.
